Many of you are poised on the brink of spring, but as I write this newsletter, we have about 8 inches of fresh snow outside!
Still... February and March are wonderful months in the quilting world, because that is when we get to see all the new fabrics for next winter. Be sure to look at our coming soon page. There are so many wonderful collections coming out, and we have been putting the pictures up as fast as we can. I find that while the snow is still on the ground, I'm able to really appreciate all the snowman and snowflake fabrics.
But if you're thinking toward spring, be sure to see the new Heron(blue) and Petal (pink) colorways Lakehouse's hydrangea group. These new fresh colors come with some fun coordinates, too: butterflies and stripes.
If you like old-fashioned flowers, Edelen Willie's "From the Garden" group is sure to please.
Moda has reprinted their lovely "Decadent Victorian" group, and we have plenty of goods back in stock again. If you love florals, and are partial to soft mauve/lavender/plum/rose shades, then this is for you!
Baby fabrics are always in demand, and the latest addition to the growing group of Beatrix Potter fabrics is called "Alphabet Garden". We still have the first two collections, "Vintage Nursery" and the ever-popular "Garden Tales".
Alexander Henry has brought out some new football and baseball fabrics, and yes we still have their classic "American Pastime" too. We love to combine these with stripes and solids by other manufacturers too. The colors are great to work with.
Blank Textiles has come out with a group of ombre-like fabrics, with four shades of the same color, across the width of the fabric. We've selected five colors to start with, and if you like them as much as we do, we will be adding more. These are an easy way to get some perfectly related shades to add to your project.
From Wilmington Prints we have a new cowboy group and also "Rise and Shine", a country rooster group.
Hoffman fabrics has a whimsical group of pirate fabrics out, which we just had to have.
Quilting Treasures has come out with two new cartoon collections: "Tom and Jerry" and "The Flintstones", which we have picked up on. Make something fun for the kids, while you wait for spring!
